* Can I use an Essex Car Rental vehicle on the continent?

Yes, all our vehicles may be driven abroad. Please notify us of this at the time of hiring.

* How do I pay for my car/van hire?

All rentals must be paid for in full upon collection. We accept cash, major credit cards and cheques accompanied by a valid bankers’ card.

* Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a £200 deposit is required upon hiring vehicles in Groups A, B, C, D, H & I. A £300 deposit is requred upon hiring vehicles in Groups E,F & G. This is held at our offices until the vehicle is returned.*

*We reserve the right to withhold all or part of the deposit for late returned or damaged vehicles.

* Can you provide a driver/chauffeur?

Yes we can. Please call us to check availability.

* Where do I collect and return my vehicle to?

All rentals are collected and returned to our head offices at Websters Way, Rayleigh, see Find Us.

* Can a vehicle be delivered to and collected from my home address?

Depending on circumstance, we may be able to offer a delivery and collection service.

* How does Price Match work?

If you find the same or similar vehicle for hire elsewhere at a cheaper price, then let us know. We promise to beat or at least match it.

* Is there a mileage limit?

At Essex Car Rentals we will advise on the deal that is best for you. Unlimited or fixed mileage allowances can be added to any vehicle hire agreement.

* What about insurance?

The hirer can add the vehicle to their own insurance if they so wish. But why not let us sort this.
