Terms of Hire

Hiring a vehicle form Essex Car Rentals could not be easier. As long as you comply with the following we are sure that we have a vehicle for you to drive away today. The person(s) renting vehicle(s) must be:

         · A minimum 21 years of age on date of hire

         · Have no more than 6 points on licence

         · Hold a full valid driving licence

                  - Old-style paper licences are only accepted if accompanied by photo ID – i.e.
                    passport, Armed Forces ID card or Police Warrant card

                  - Photocard licences are only accepted if accompanied by the paper licence

         · If your current address differs from that on your licence you are required to provide proof of
           your current address and a valid form of photo ID. One of the following will be accepted as
           proof of address:

                  - Current credit finance agreement

                  - Recent bank statement

                  - Recent utility bill

         · Non UK residents must produce a full valid passport as must any drivers
           or additional drivers wishing to rent using a non-UK EEC licence.
